China teeters on the edge of chaos after numerous failed coup attempts, farmers in the Soviet Union have shaken their government with a general strike, and the United States is paralyzed by a moribund economy while much of the world contends with fervent, religious guerrilla fanaticism.

Religious figureheads, sanctioned by the strict codes of the U.N., flood the airwaves with distressing, apocalyptic predictions through bullying, austere, and dramatic presentations, paired with carefully crafted, incendiary messaging. Disseminating fear to the public, they then offer self-serving solutions in return.
